What's so different about female hair loss?

Why do people just automatically assume, without educating themselves, that a woman did something to get hair loss and male hair loss is natural. Sure female hair loss is treated using different methods (no propecia for women) but, both Men have male pattern baldness and women have female pattern baldness. They are both androgenetic alopecia. It's that simple. Women won't necessarily lose all their hair all it once, they might just lose their hair in patterns just like men for the same reasons men do. It doesn't have anything to with too many perms, hair conditioning, or not using the Right Shampoo. Hair Loss is very common after menopause in most women but, I've seen women suffering from androgenetic alopecia at 17 years of old.

In most cases when hair is shed it often grows back shorter and shorter until it becomes what looks like "peach fuzz" and hair is visibly thin at this point. Female pattern hair loss could begin early in a person's life. Female hair loss when Accompanied with, facial and body hair could be caused by a hormonal imbalance. Female Hair Loss could also come after stopping birth control pills or even after pregnancy but these types of hair loss are usually temporary.

Doctors usually start female hair loss treatment with rogaine. Aldactone helps many women who have problems with hair loss before menopause but it could take many months before any results are seen. A combination of aldactone and hormone replacement pills like prempro could also help a great deal.

So what about propecia for female hair loss? Propecia deals with the prostate for regrowing hair and since women don't actually have a prostate propecia won't be any help to you.

There is a big difference between androgenetic alopecia and just having flat stringy hair. Some people just have thin hair with no signs of actual hair loss but this isn't real hair loss. Don't end up taking a hair loss drug because you wanted fuller look to your hair when you had no real hair loss problems.

You should educate yourself on the best and safest hair loss treatments. You should also look around before making a decision on a hair loss treatment because there are some very cheap hair loss products out their that do work.
